Charles Smith of the League of Good Spirits is here with Whisky 101: Scotland

Registration for this 6-class series is about $150 after tax and fees, which amounts to about $25 per session. Each class guarantees a minimum of 4 drams, industry-insider information, gobs of history, and a final exam (which is really just an end-of-course Christmas party with a small quiz at the start). Classes run from 7-9 p.m.

• November 13 – Islands

• December 11 – Islay

• December 13 – Final Exam/party
